History of Adidas
Adidas has been associated with high quality sportswear and equipment since its inception in 1924 and now has stores across the world. Originally named Gebruder Dassler Schuhfabrik, the firm changed its name to Adidas in the late 1940s following a dispute between founding brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler. Rudolf went onto launch his own sportswear brand, Puma, which remains one of Adidas's biggest competitors to this day.
Clothing made by Adidas is instantly recognisable thanks to the brand's iconic three stripes. Almost all of Adidas's ranges feature the design and it is as sought after as ever. The term Adidas comes from Adolf's name (Adi and Das), although some people falsely believe the brand is an acronym meaning "All Day I Dream About Sports".
Adidas.co.uk has a number of sub-brands to cater for differing tastes and requirements. For those needing hardwearing sportswear for training and performance the regular Adidas brand (identifiable by its logo featuring three vertical stripes in ascending order) will meet your needs. For urban and old school cool, check out the Originals line. Launched in mid-2000s, the brand brought back the retro trefoil logo that Adidas had dispersed of in 1997 and its range is highly influenced by classic designs from the 1970s and 80s.
Neo is a newer range that has many similarities with Originals, but is aimed at a younger market and has been endorsed by Selena Gomez. For those wanting something more upmarket there is the Y3 range that has been made in partnership with Japanese fashion guru Yohji Yamamoto and well as special Adidas pieces from Stella McCartney and Pharell Williams.
Adidas's primary sports are football and athletics, but the brand also manufacturers clothing and equipment for tennis, basketball, golf, rugby, skateboarding, snowboarding and swimming among other sports.
While Adidas has stores in most major UK cities, buying online is usually the best way to go as the range on offer is much greater and there is a good chance of getting yourself a bargain thanks to the number of Adidas voucher codes available.

Adidas.co.uk is a very secure website as it is protected by a SSL certificate from the Entrust Certification Authority. The easiest way to identify sites that have this protection is by looking for the green locked padlock in the URL bar when you reach the checkout screen.
The website's reviews on Trust Pilot are mixed to say the least. Most of the negative reviews seem are based on delivery times, but as people are more likely to write about a bad experience, these should not be seen as an indication of the service received by the majority.
